This quarter’s career development seminar is interdisciplinary to say the least. Dr. Erika Wagner is the founding Executive Director of the XPRIZE Lab at MIT. She is currently Business Development Manager at Blue Origin (an aerospace R&D company devoted to finding reliable, inexpensive ways for humans to go into space), and has worked in bioastronautics and aeronautics in academia and the private sector. She has also served as Science Director and Executive Director of the Mars Gravity Biosatellite Program, a multi-university initiative to investigate the physiological effects of reduced gravity. She has a Master’s in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and a PhD in Bioastronautics from the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. On the 21st she will discuss space physiology, commercial spaceflight, and her interdisciplinary career path. Join us for seminar and a post-talk discussion in Bagley Hall 154.
